We all wish we could get clients knocking down our door. It’s not easy to find clients. You have to be ready to hustle and blog, and do social media. Be prepared for the long run.
First, I would suggest putting a blog on your website and giving it a name, like, Jodi’s Blog, or Home town Blog. Use your imagination.
Post as much as possible. Write about what you are most interested in related to your business. Search out other blogs to get an idea of what other people are blogging about. Google will pick up your blog depending on how often you upload content.
Next social media. We are all overwhelmed by being on social media. LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook are three of the most prominent platforms.
I was clueless about social media so I took a course in LinkedIn, which is a platform for business-oriented people. I started networking and making connections. I took classes in using social media, but I was overwhelmed and lacked business acumen. So, I hired a business coach, a great guy, Eric Whitmoyer, whom I found networking on Gelie Ahkenblit’s, LinkedIn site. Gelie has a course in LinkedIn which I highly recommend.
I am immersed now in gaining new clients. Starting out on agencies like Fiverr, Upwork can propel your career. Remember, there’s a lot of work involved and you have to keep your sights on what different steps to take, and keep on going.
Marketing yourself is an ongoing project. Some people are great at it and do very well. Some people have a harder time. I think if you have a really good regimen and hustle you can be successful too.
